Anahata: the fourth primary chakra, this is the heart chakra.
Location: at the centre of the chest.
Colour: green.
Associated with: love, compassion, empathy, balance, peace, and forgiveness.
It represents both the tenderness and the intensity of the emotional life. Our capacity to nurture, to desire and at times, confront the disruptive forces that accompany our profound feelings.
This zine was born from the deep power of Anahata- combing the intersection of heartbreak and grief. Their roles as reflections of the human ability to love and grieve deeply.
The strange, aching beauty of knowing what it is to love and to lose in the same breath.
That, after all, is what life is:
choosing to love despite a world thick with cruelty and risk becomes an act of resilience and intentionality.
And yet,
it is also about spite.
While often viewed negatively, spite can function as a catalyst: it is a response born from wounded attachment, unmet longing, or a desire for connection. These tensions coexist with our toxic idealised notions of romance, peace, and desire, forming a complex deep emotional spectrum that is hard to seperate.

“Love knows not its own depth until the hour of its separation.” —Kahlil Gibran

Ultimately, we are defined by what we choose to believe, by the words we speak, the actions we take, and the ways in which we engage with or reject the world around us.
However the reader interprets these words, one thing remains:
We always have access to the transformative power of Anahata.
This work is dedicated to those whom I have loved and witnessed through the lens of Anahata. In that shared space of the heart, I offer this reflection.

All my love, Chucky.
